Bed Lofts – Common Issues & Fixes
My Loft Feels Unstable or Wobbly
This is usually caused by loose or misaligned support components.
Try the following:
Check that all interlocking support beams are fully seated
Tighten all wing nuts by hand (metal lofts)
Firmly press support beams, spring frames, and stabilizer bars into place (wood lofts)
If the loft remains unstable after checking these items, submit a Service Ticket and include photos if possible .
My Loft Is Squeaky
Squeaking is normal and usually caused by metal-to-metal contact.
Fix:
Apply WD-40 or a similar lubricant to the contact points. Many residence hall maintenance teams have this available.
A Loft Piece Is Missing or Broken
This is considered a safety issue.
What to do:
Submit a Service Ticket immediately so our team can assist. Do not attempt to modify or adjust the loft yourself.
Can I Adjust the Height or Rearrange My Loft?
Lofts are not adjustable unless your school specifically offers this option
Our operations team cannot rearrange loft setups after delivery
Students should not attempt to modify loft height or configuration on their own
If your school allows height adjustments, you must request this after delivery, once you’ve arrived on campus.
Refrigerator & Combination Units
How a Combination Unit Works
A Combination Unit includes a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave powered by a single energy source. When the microwave is in use, the refrigerator/freezer temporarily shuts off to prevent circuit overload. This is normal operation.
My Fridge or Freezer Isn’t Cooling
Check the temperature dial
Make sure the unit isn’t overloaded
Allow time for the unit to cycle after microwave use
If cooling does not resume, submit a Service Ticket.
Setting the Microwave Clock or Timer
To set the clock:
Touch CLOCK

Touch CLOCK again
To use the timer:
Touch TIMER
Enter the desired time
Touch START/STOP
The maximum timer setting is 99 minutes and 99 seconds.
Cleaning Your Combination Unit (Important for Deposit Refunds)
Before returning your unit:
Defrost at least 24 hours before departure
